Add Staff is short for additional staff, which means you don’t organize the conference, but you help out while it’s taking place
1.What does the Add Staff do?
As Add Staff it is your job to make the conference and the debates in the committees run smoothly.
So, you have to hand out and deliver note paper and amendment paper. If there is a vote in your committee, you have to count the votes. Also, you bring cookies, coffee, tea and water to the delegates because they cannot get up or leave the room during the debate. You will also be asked to set up the rooms for the committees or to clean up at a social event or at the end of a day.
Being part of the Add Staff is a great way to get a first insight into MUN conferences and how they work. So, you can take part as a delegate in the next conference and already know how it works.
2. What is expected of me?
You have to be at least in 7th grade when AMUN takes place, and you should feel comfortable speaking easy English sentences like “Would you like a cup of coffee?” or “Would you like any sugar in your coffee?”. You should be motivated to participate in AMUN.
You do not need to be at the conference for the whole day because your work will be organized in shifts.
Please note that it is possible that your shift may last longer than your regular school day.
When you are not at the conference as add staff, you must attend your lessons.
3. How to apply?
Before the summer vacation we will come to all the classes to inform everyone and hand out registration forms.

Add Staff steht für additional staff, was übersetzt in etwa „Zusätzliches Personal“ heißt und bedeutet, dass diese Person die Konferenz nicht organisiert, sondern nur währenddessen aushilft.
1.Was macht man als Add Staff überhaupt?
Als Teil des Add Staff ist es deine Aufgabe, dafür zu sorgen, dass die Konferenz und die Debatten ungestört ablaufen können. So bist du z.B. für das Herumreichen von Note paper und Amendment paper verantwortlich. Wenn es in deinem Komitee eine Abstimmung gibt, musst du die Stimmen zählen. Außerdem bringst du den Delegierten Wasser, Kekse, Kaffee und Tee an ihren Platz, denn sie dürfen während der Debatten nicht aufstehen oder den Raum verlassen. Weiterhin wird von dir erwartet, dass du beim Auf- und Abbau der Konferenz und der Abendveranstaltungen hilfst.
Beim Add Staff mitzumachen ist eine tolle Art und Weise, erste Einblicke in eine MUN-Konferenz zu erhalten, um vielleicht selber im nächsten Jahr als Delegierter teilzunehmen.
2. Welche Voraussetzungen gibt es?
Du musst zu Beginn von AMUN mindestens in der siebten Klasse sein und dich sicher fühlen einfache Sätze auf Englisch zu sprechen, z.B. “Would you like a cup of coffee?” oder “Would you like any sugar in your coffee?”. Du solltest Lust dazu haben, als Add Staff an AMUN teilzunehmen. Es wird nicht von dir erwartet, dass du einen ganzen Tag da bist, denn die Arbeit wird in Schichten eingeteilt.
Bitte beachte, dass es sein kann, dass eine Schicht länger dauert als dein normaler Schultag.
Wenn du nicht als Add Staff bei der Konferenz bist, musst du an deinem regulären Unterricht teilnehmen.
3. Wie kannst du dich anmelden?
Vor den Sommerferien werden wir durch alle Klassen gehen, um dich und deine Mitschüler zu informieren und Anmeldezettel auszuteilen. Außerdem wird es vor der Konferenz ein Vorbereitungstreffen geben. Du kannst uns natürlich auch eine E-Mail an amun.addstaff@gmail.com schicken.
